We worked with another agency prior to Guardian after my husband had a stroke. We had no experience on what a home care agency does so we set up for 12 hours a day 7 days a week service. On our first care manager drop my husband on the floor the second day and needless to say she was gone, to cut to the chase after a month We had no communication with their corporate office about anything, it just did not feel right and we knew we needed to make a change so we gave the agency notice and proceeded to find interview agencies that showed that they actually cared and stayed involved with my husband care.
We interviewed several agencies and out of the blue Terry from Guardian called me we were already leaning towards another agency we wanted but we decided to talk with Terry from Guardian. We had a good conversation on the phone so set up an interview with him in our home. You immediately know when someone walks their talk and when the interview was finished and Terry was just about to leave we made a decision to go with Guardian. To say that this was the best decision we made would be an underestimation Guardian is so customer focused and they care. We have incredible caretakers who are like family to us and take care of my husband and our household. I can tell you they are involved, they listen are proactive, flexible and care. Are they perfect no business is but they make the necessary adjustments to continually improve and communicate which is so important. Eric is a great example of wanting to please and make it right whatever it takes.
There are many home health agencies out there who offer the same type of service so for us the biggest difference is Guardian walks their talk just as Terry did when we first met him months ago. What Terry/Guardian committed to is the service we now have and their team delivers on that day in and day out.
